The chief financial officer/treasurer (CFO) of the General Conference (GC) encourages members to return to systematic giving and increase support for stewardship ministries. “Since the 1980’s the emphasis in stewardship has somehow dwindled,” Juan Prestol-Puesán, GC CFO, told members of the Executive Committee during the 2017 Annual Council. “Teaching giving is out of fashion.  It’s not something that attracts. Si Young Kim elected as new president for the North-Asia Pacific region of the Adventist Church

On September 13, the Northern Asia-Pacific region (NSD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church held a Special Executive Committee (EXCOM) meeting to elect Kim Si Young as the regions new president. Young’s name was recommended to the General Conference Administrative Committee (ADCOM) and on September 19, the GC ADCOM members voted Kim in as the new president. Ted Wilson, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, came to Korea to chair this special EXCOM made up of members from Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and Mongolia.
